India’s Andhra Pradesh set to turn into solar energy manufacturing hub

Having set an ambitious target of adding a minimum total solar power capacity of 5,000 MW in the next five years, Andhra Pradesh is now turning into a major hub for solar energy manufacturing facilities in the country.
Major players including Essel Infraprojects, Golden Concord Holdings, Trina Solar Science and Technology Energy and Xi’an Longi Silicon Materials Corporation are already at various stages of setting up manufacturing facilities in AP with an estimated investment of around Rs 18,200 crore and employment opportunities for around 19,000 people.
According to industries department sources, several other firms are also keen on investments in AP and expected to head to the state in the coming months.








Admission Notice for 2016

Long Term Session - March to August and September to January 
Maximum seat for each session will be 20nos.
Long Term Admission Time: Last Date - for March Session - 25th February, 2016, for September Session - 25th August, 2016

Short Term admission will be continue for each month as per training program schedule. Maximum seat for each batch will be 20nos.

In case of Home Study system, student will get books as per schedule, they study at home and IST will be provide one day per month practical training facility at his/her nearest IST training center (if available) or at IST main branch at Howrah, West Bengal.

  • Advanced Certificate in Photovoltaic System Technician
    Job Role: Assessing the installation site job, understanding the principle of PV system, handling installation tools & equipments, understanding functions & process of installation materials, mounting and installing the panels at customer's premises as per design & specification, and ensuring effective functioning of solar energy system after installation. 
    Duration: 1 Month/80 Hours, Class Time: Monday to Friday - 4 Hours/day 

  • Advanced Certificate in Photovoltaic System Installer
    Job Role: Assessing the installation site job, understanding the principle of PV system, handling installation tools & equipments, understanding functions & process of installation materials, mounting and installing the panels at customer's premises as per design & specification, and ensuring effective functioning of solar energy system after installation.  
    Duration: 3 Weeks/60 Hours, Class Time: Monday to Friday - 4 Hours/day 

  • Advanced Certificate in Photovoltaic Power Plant Maintenance
    Job Role: Solar Photovoltaic Plant Operation and Maintenance engineer inspects and perform schedule maintenance jobs for plant, i.e include mechanical and electrical components; performs periodic cleaning of PV modules; and maintains performance data records.
    Duration: 3 Weeks/60 Hours, Class Time: Monday to Friday - 4 Hours/day 

  • Advance Certificate in Photovoltaic Business Management
    Job Role: Achieve market leadership in the Renewable Energy, Solar Energy sectors, Identify the customer / client requirement and provide product, project or knowledge based solution, Drive the complete sales cycle for indentified projects, upcoming policies in the field of renewable energy. 
    Duration: 3 Weeks/60 Hours, Class Time: Monday to Friday - 4 Hours/day 


  • Certificate in Photovoltaic Module Manufacturing Process
    Job Role: You can handle solar cell, connecting solar cells by soldering, Solder the bus wire to connect the series, assembly, frames the module and fixes the junction box, aluminium fabrication as per the dimensions.
    If you have concluded to start your own solar module manufacturing company, this certificate course would give you a clearer picture of the kind of business that you have chosen to do.  



  • VT Training For 2 nd, 3 rd, 4th Year Engineering students
