INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS FOR ESTABLISHING IST AUTHORIZE TRAINING CENTER

  • An IST Authorized Training Center can be established in any city in India. In fact it can be established wherever there is a need for PV Solar Training.
  • The following are the infrastructure needs for establishing the "IST Authorized Training Center"..
  • Interested person must have own running educational institute or own building.
  • Two classrooms with a seating capacity of minimum 25 students each. The classrooms shall have sufficient ventilation and in reasonably peaceful environments.
  • There must be a computer lab and a PV electrical lab for at least 25 students.
  • PV lab - as per IST guide/requirements (Approx Rs.1,00,000/- for first time).
  • Teacher/Faculty - as per IST guide/requirements (Interested person must be technically sound)
  • Open rooftop minimum 1000sq.ft and installed PV rooftop system (minimum 1KW)
  • One digital projector (Optional)
  • White boards and related tools
  • Computers with internet connection, Printer, Scanner, Photocopying machine etc
  • Back-up power to support other outlined infrastructure for at least 2 hours. (Optional)
  • Availability of clean drinking water.
  • Toilets for students.
  • At least 1 notice board to display all relevant notices.
  • Fire extinguisher.
  • First Aid Kit

INVESTMENT CAPACITY

Minimum investment capacity of IST Franchisee holder is three lakh at opening stage.

Advance Certificate in Photovoltaic System Installation
Entrepreneurship Training
Advance Certificate in Photovoltaic System Installation is a competence based qualification which covers installing photovoltaic (PV) panels and systems into roofs, onto roofs or in non roof structures. It is suitable for those working in the installation of photovoltaic panels as PV Installers or Solar Panel Installers.
It covers communicating and working with others, working with PV systems, locating, preparing testing, handling, fixing and completing the installation of photovoltaic panels; the importance and requirements of health and safety are emphasised throughout the qualification.

This course is intended for final year engineering graduates or engineering fresh graduates, and will cover the basics of solar power system design, concepts, schematics, Single Line Diagrams(SLD), power estimation, performance efficiency, installation techniques, electrical safety, circuit fundamentals, materials specifications, methods, testing & commissioning process.
This course is more elaborate in details, discussions, calculation, problem solving, lab practical, assignments, hands on installation practice, evaluation, and is understandable and workable for engineering professionals


Qualification for
This qualification is aimed at those who work as Installers of Photovoltaic Panels, primarily in domestic properties.
Candidates for this qualification will primarily be working on customer's premises carrying out the installation of Photovoltaic Panels.

Admission Eligibility: 10+2 Science stream /Working experience in PV system, Electrical job, Diploma Engineer, ITI, B.E, B.Tech
N.B. IST reversed the right for admitting less qualified through an entrance examination conducted by IST and subsequently attending 1 or 2 days preparatory classes before commencement of the actual course classes.
